Site dedication
In the Province of the Assumption, there are some ninety friars.  We are one of the smallest provinces of the Order, and yet we have provided Australia and the Solomon Islands with three bishops.

The Assumption Province has more than twenty friars in formation and five houses of formation throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.  Our friars are involved in academic pursuits, hospital and university chaplaincy and parish ministry.

These are some of the brethren's stories.

Bishop Anthony Fisher, O.P. D.D.
Br Vincent Magat, O.P.
Br Francis McKinnon, O.P.
Br Paul Rowse, O.P.
Fr Joseph Vnuk, O.P.
Bishop E.J. Crawford, O.P. (centre) blesses the congregation during the Te Deum at his Episcopal Conscration, c1960.
