Dominican Laity final profession at St Dominic's
Church, East Camberwell. On the feast of Pope St Pius V, friar, Peter Anderson, Helen Frank and Martin Hennessy-Smith made final profession as Dominican Laity. Their profession was made in the presence of the Prior Provincial, Very Rev. Thomas Cassidy, O.P. and the President of the Dominican Laity Chapter, Peg Dooley, O.P.L. Dominican Laity members live in, but are not of, the world: sanctifying their secular vocations by offering all to and for Our Lord; interspersing their daily work with prayer, study, contemplation, and praise; approaching others with love as they share the Truth which the friars, moniales (nuns) and sisters preach, each in the manner appropriate to their vocation. ![]() (L to R): Martin Hennessy-Smith, Helen Frank and Peter Anderson kneeling before the Prior Provincial, Fr Thomas Cassidy, O.P. |
