- 23 Sep 2004 Br Mannes Tellis, O.P. renews simple profession.

The Prior Provincial, after consultation with the Chapter and Council of St Dominic's Camberwell, received the renewal of vows of Br Mannes Tellis, O.P.  Br Mannes has recently returned from a pastoral semester in the Vicariate giving retreats,
offering catechesis and providing support to the existing Dominican mission there and will continue to prepare at St Dominic's for Solemn Vows.

Renewal of simple profession is required of a brother whose initial period of simple vows has expired.  Br Mannes made simple profession for three years on 23 September 2001.  He renewed those vows for one year on the same day 2004, using this formula:

I, Brother Mannes Maria Tellis, make profession,

and I promise obedience to God,
to blessed Mary, to blessed Dominic,
          and to you, brother N.N.,
in place of brother Carlos Azpiroz Costa,
Master of the Order of Friars Preachers
          and his successors,
according to the rule of blessed Augustine
and the Constitutions of the Friars Preachers
that I will be obedient to you and to your successors,
          for one year.
