News for March, 2003

St Peter's Cathedral, Gizo: extensions recently completed.
This month our news is from the Solomon Islands vicariate, where the number of vocations requires more accommodation for our students.

Below we see the new house being built for them in Honiara, the capital. Until now, our students have been educated in Papua New Guinea. Now that a seminary has opened in Honiara, this new house will allow our Solomons students in their first few years to study in their own country.

At left, you can see the newly completed extensions to St Peter's Cathedral, Gizo, Western Solomons: a fine achievement, and one which owes much to Joe Dedazel, who came up from Australia as a volunteer to supervise and, indeed, build these extensions.
